In this energetic role, you will be the vigilant guardian of our pool area, ensuring a safe, enjoyable environment for all guests. Your proactive approach and quick response skills will help prevent accidents and provide immediate assistance when needed. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to develop valuable safety skills while working in a lively, outdoor setting. 

Responsibilities

• Monitor the pool area continuously to enforce safety rules and prevent accidents
• Respond swiftly and effectively to emergencies

• Conduct regular pool maintenance tasks such as cleaning filters, skimming debris, and checking chemical levels to ensure optimal water quality
• Assist guests with pool access, provide excellent guest services, and answer questions about pool rules and safety procedures
• Perform routine pool cleaning duties including maintaining surrounding areas

• Inspect safety equipment regularly and report any maintenance needs or hazards
• Support overall pool operations by assisting with setup and takedown of pool facilities as needed

• Proven lifeguard experience or certification in lifeguarding from a recognized organization
• Valid CPR and First Aid certification; willingness to renew certifications as required
• Must have or be willing to complete PA Clearances 
• Strong swimming skills with the ability to perform water rescues confidently
• Knowledge of pool maintenance procedures including chemical testing and cleaning techniques
• Ability to lift heavy equipment or supplies safely during routine cleaning or setup tasks
• Excellent guest service skills with a friendly, approachable attitude
• Prior experience with pool cleaning or maintenance is a plus but not required
