University City Housing is a Philadelphia-based property management company with significant real estate holdings in and around the Philadelphia metropolitan area. Our current portfolio consists of 4,000 residential units and 250,000 square feet of commercial space.

UCH is actively seeking an Access Control and CCTV Technician to join our team.  

This position will support 600+ camera installations located in over 60 properties in Greater Philadelphia and New Jersey, as well as support over 20 access control systems serving over 1500 clients. 

Each day will vary. Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

•    Troubleshooting and resolving issues 
•    Testing functionality of devices 
•    Installing, servicing, and maintaining systems 
•    Staying up to date on technology and procedures 

BUILDING ACCESS/ENTRY SYSTEMS:

-    Design, install and maintain electronic access control security systems.  Keri Systems knowledge a plus.
-    Assist Management with setup and distribution of personnel/tenant access devices
-    Install, program and maintain multi-family intercom systems.  
-    Manage the internet connections and routers attached to our systems.

CCTV:

-    Monitor CCTV cameras to assure all systems are operative, back-ups on schedule, makes appropriate repairs as needed.
-    Manage the internet connections and routers attached to our systems.
-    Provide video to management and appropriate authorities as needed.
-    Design, price, and install both analog and digital camera systems. 
-    Knowledge of aerial, underground, and exterior metal conduit installation methods required.

Access Control and CCTV Technician Qualifications: 
•    Prior experience installing access control, video systems, low voltage wiring 
•    Strong understanding of digital CCTV systems, Access Control 
•    Previous experience in security installation, maintenance, or other related fields
•    Strong troubleshooting and critical thinking skills
•    Ability to be a team player who can work independently with minor supervision as well as part of a team
•    Ability to prioritize urgent projects and work in a fast-paced and challenging work environment
•    Strong levels of communication (both written and spoken English)
•    A valid driver's license and vehicle
•    Must be comfortable with heights and ladders
•    Able to work non-traditional hours in the event of emergency 
•    Ability to travel throughout Greater Philadelphia
